Song to smile about...

My Drama 10 class is performing a whole bunch of poems for Charlie Killam and various other schools in Camrose. We are in the process of memorization, rehearsal, analysis and all that jazz and we are all bored to tears. 4 of us, however, have a bit of an escape from the drawl repetitiveness of reciting poems. Don't get me wrong, i love poetry as much as the next gal, i just dont like repeating them over and over and over again...it gets REALLY boring. Callum, Melissa, Blue and I (the lucky four) are doing a puppet show (sock puppets mostly) to the song Ebenezer Scrooge from Muppet's Christmas Carol...and its actually alot of fun. So yay for us, here are the lyrics: purple lines are sung by liz's hand puppets / mouth, Blue does the blue lines, oddly enough, Green is for melissa, Callum sings the black lines, and we all sing them if they are bold

Ebenezer Scrooge

When a cold wind blows it chills you,
Chills you to the bone
But there's nothin' in nature that freezes your heart
Like years of bein' alone

Its paints you with indifference,

Like a lady paints with rouge
And the worst of the worst,
The most hated and cursed
Is the one that we call Scrooge
Un kind as any,
And the wrath of many,
This is that Ebenezer Scrooge

OH! There goes Mr. Humbug,
There goes mister Grim
If they gave a prize for bein' mean
The winner would be him
Oh, Scroogey loves his money
Cause he thinks it gives him power
If he became a flavor, you can bet he would be sour
(Even the vegetables don't like him!)

There goes mister Skin flint
There goes mister Greed
The undisputed master of the under-handed deed
He charges folks a fortune for his dark and drafty houses
Us small folk live in misery
Its even worse for mouses
(Please sir, I want some cheese)

He must be so lonely
He must be so sad
He goes to extremes to convince us he´sbad
He´s really a victem of fear and of pride
Look close and there must be a sweet man inside
Nah! Uh-Uh!

There goes mister outrage,
There goes mister sneer
He has no time for friends or fun
His anger makes that clear
Don't ask him for a favor cause his nastiness increases
No crust of bread for those in need
No cheeses for us mices (pronounced: meeses)

There goes mister Heartless
there goes mister Cruel
He never gives
He only takes
He lets his hunger rule
If being mean´s A way of life
He´ll practice and Rehearse
And all that work is payin' off
Cause Scrooge is getting worse
Everyday in everyway
Scrooge is getting worse!

Poem.

So i am really bad at poetry. I wrote this poem as a music interpretation in english class, it was based on this spanish piece, i felt like Zorro (can't spell) when i was listening to it. It's a little bit heated, i assure you i am heterosexual. but i thought it was something special anyway...

Bewitching Maiden

Her elegant lips
still mark my neck.
I wonder how many others
share their mark.
Fiery Temptress,
that's how she addressed the
Wild Eyed Beauty
in the mirror each morning.
A ballroom dancer
without the class.
Just those hips,
those smouldering hips.
Hypnotic as they
move across the bedroom.
Bewitching
as they
delicately
slip beneath the sheets.
Enchanting
as they gently leave,
hours later
On their way to
captivate
another testosterone driven victim.
what did ya think? Liz, out.

I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad

I miss grade 9. i dont want to get old! But most of all i miss my friends!!!

So much has changed in a year. It has been 366 days since the Jade halloween incident occured. Do you remember how shocking that was?? wow. now, its just old news. Annelies' prochecy came true - the new era is upon us. But that is the least of the changing ways. I am, however, glad to say that the cliques are yet to form. The grade tens are still, pretty much, one giant mob that covers half the commons area at lunch. woot. Well i guess there are two mobs, but people interchange between them.

To the FUN four (hehe Vdogg), you know who you are.

Do you guys remember at the beginning of grade 9 when we were like - highschool is gonna come and we are gonna totally drift apart? well i really didnt believe it at the time, or maybe i just didnt want to believe it. Well grade ten is apon us and, unfortunately, the great seperation has began. I miss you guys!!! We are all changing so much. I want to go back to the old - sitting around the couches at merchants and just talking for hours and hours - days! *sigh*
Ilafi Lolofove Youlofou ! Liz, out.
