Quote of note
" Wherever a man may happen to turn, whatever a man may undertake, he will always end up returning to the path which nature has marked out for him" - Johann Goethe (1749-1832)
I disagree completely. I think that this quote, and the whole philosophy that everyone has a chosen path, is entirely wrong. If this were the case than the decisions we are making right now wouldn't matter, because no matter what we chose we will end up the way god intended us to. So if I went out and bought some cocaine right now and became a hardcore crack addict, it wouldn't matter cause I would end up the same as I would without the crack. Than again, crack didn't exist in Goethe's day. If this were the case why would god choose some people's paths the way he does. Some people live a life of misery, is this their intended path? I think that a person's life, and the route it will take, depends immensely on the decisions they make through out. If I were to rob a bank right now and use the money to buy a taxi to the airport and fly to Chicago... I think that would change my path a little, don't you?Or even the whole "soul mates" thing, I want to believe it but I don't. I think that, though you can't find love in everyone, every one has several opportunities for love. Actually I think that there are millions of possible paths for every individual on this earth, the decisions you make in your lifetime determine what path you take. Some of these paths may lead you to love, some may not. I am kind of contradicting myself here. But all I know is I do not agree with Goethe. Chow. Liz out.

Your philosophy completely ownes the others. I agree with you to disagree with them! I'll put more time and thought into a reply when I have more time.

i don't know i like to believe that everyone has a purpose set out for them. maybe your destiny is created on the choices you make. as in god or whatever knew you were gonna choose that and then set out the destiny that compromises with that decision. but then again i would hate to have someone know how i would end up according to my choices. yeah.
