Song of the week

I Love Blondie! I really do, I love all of her songs but this one is my favorite lately. You should listen to it. Now...
Rapture - Blondie
Toe to toe, dancing very close.
Body breathing almost comatose.
Wall to wall, people hypnotized.
And they're stepping lightly.
Hang each night, in rapture.
Back to back, sacroiliac.
Spineless movement and a wild attack.
Face to face, sightless solitude.
And it's finger popping.
Twenty four hour shopping in rapture.
Fab five freddy told me everybody's fly.
D.j. spinning, i said, "my, my."
Flash is fast, flash is cool.
Francois, c'est pas flashe non due.
And you don't stop, sure shot.
Go out to the parking lot.
And you get in your car and drive real far.
And you drive all night and then you see a light.
And it comes right down and it lands on the ground.
And out comes the man from mars.
And you try to run but he's got a gun.
And he shoots you dead and he eats your head.
And then you're in the man from mars.
You go out at night eating cars.
You eat cadillacs, lincolns too. Mercurys and subaru.
And you don't stop.
You keep on eating cars.
Then when there's no more cars you go out at night And eat up bars
where the people meet.
Face to face. Dance cheek to cheek.
One to one. Man to man.
Dance toe to toe.
Don't move too slow 'cause the man from mars is through with cars.
He's eating bars.
Yeah, wall to wall.
Door to door. Hall to hall.
He's gonna eat 'em all.
Rapture.
Be pure.
Take a tour through the sewer.
Don't strain your brain.
Paint a train.
You'll be singing in the rain.
Said don't stop to the punk rock.
Well now you see what you wanna be.
Just have your party on t.v.
'cause the man from mars won't eat up bars where the t.v's on.
And now he's gone back up to space where he won't have a hassle with the human race.
And you hip hop.
And you don't stop.
Just blast off, sure shot.
'cause the man from mars stopped eating cars And eating bars And now he only eats guitars.
Get up!
Ya...good song indeed. Liz out.

The Diaries Of Anne Frank

So I am in the Church Mice Production of The Diaries Of Anne Frank. I am playing Anne Franks older sister, Margot (pronounced margo) She is sweet and innocent and everything a young girl should have been in 1942. It really isn't a great role but at least it gives me something to do. I didn't want to refuse because the director, Steve, was super nice and gave me a part without an audition. So you know it'll be fun. Hope ya'll come and see it. cheerio. Liz out.

Garbage

Garbage was Amazing! I went to see Garbage (the band) at Red's on Sunday night and it was an amazing show! Shirley Manson, the lead singer, is my god! Most bands suck when they play live (unless they are screamo) but they were better! Like Red's was so stupid because it was suppose to be a "all ages show" but every one under eighteen (minors) were forced to sit on this tiny section of the cat walk and we could barely see the stage and people over eighteen got to be right by shirley! Minors couldn't even buy t-shirts cause they were being sold downstairs! and they opened the doors at 7 and the opening band (who were amazing) didn't begin untill 9:30 or something. urgh. but it was still awesome. tootleoo. Liz out.

Performance week

Sorry i havn't written for a while. anyways performances. Opening night was a blast it went better than i expected actually all the nights, excluding saturday (closing night), went relatively well. anyone who saw it please leave comments. Yah it was fun. But today i had to go do an interview about it for the Camrose Canadian and i sounded SO stupid like i had all these good thoughts but i couldn't say them right and i had to talk really slow so that he would write it all down and i always lost track of my thoughts half way through a sentence and ended in ....well...i don't know, yeah...i don't know" it was a disaster. o well. Liz out.

New Week, New Song

New SOng Of The Week
from the album- Don't cut your fabric to this year's fashion by Action Action
This Year's Fashion
Action Action
Head trip on the scene again, pumping the veins of the rabid mouths to feed
head back, obsolete..trapped with the secrets that i cannot keep today
you got it, intrusive, erratic, elusive
your heart aches,
infliction, sporadic in an ancient contradiction
I have a dream its them and not me
you lied, you lied, you lied, oh my.
sugar my life, sweeten my tea, you lied, you lied
you've got your hands around my throat
you've got your eyes inside my back you lied, you lied,
oh my
head spun by a thousand spiders, sucked into their late night infomercials
rolled back with every beat, bound to the greater feature fead
you got it, intrusive, erratic, elusive
your heart aches infliction,
sporadic in an aging contradiction
i have a dream its them and not me
you lied, you lied, you lied, oh my
sugar my life, sweeten my tea
you lied, you lied, you lied, oh my
you've got your hands around my throat
you've got your eyes inside my back
you lied, you lied
oh my

Horrible movie = Extreme delight

So i went and saw "The Dukes Of Hazzard" with Jessica Simpson and wow she sux at acting! Like each line she said had a different accent and you couldn't tell what she meant because whenever the camera was on her instead of showing Daisy Duke's emotions she showed that stupid face she always has- eyes wide open, mouth slightly open! Well Johnny Knoxville was fun too watch and i did like the good old General Lee...and Good old Willie Nelson. I have never seen the original but i am guessing it was better than that! Liz out.

# 1 song of the week

Calculation Theme-Metric
this song is amazing! i love it Emily Hanes is so incredibly talented...all metric's work is incredible but this one is my fave....they don't have the lyrics on songlyrics.com but i will try to write them out and edit it soon...in the mean time listen to this song and the whole album "Old World Underground, Where Are You Now?"....6 days later... Ihave the lyrics now (thx Callum) here you go:
METRIC LYRICS
"Calculation Theme"
I'm sick, you're tired, let's dance
Break to love make lust I know it isn't
I'm sick, you're tired, let's dance
Cold as numbers but let's dance
As though it were easy for you to lead me
I could be passive gracefully
Half the horizon's gone for a skyline of numbers
Half the horizon's gone we're working the numbers
'till I'm sick
Sleep don't pacify us until
Daybreak sky lights up the grid we live in
Dizzy when we talk so fast
Fields of numbers streaming past
I wish we were farmers, I wish we knew how
To grow sweet potatoes and milk cows
I wish we were lovers, but its for the best
Tonight your ghost will ask my ghost,
Where is the love?
Tonight your ghost will ask my ghost,
Who here is in line for a raise?
Tonight your ghost will ask my ghost,
Where is the love?
Tonight your ghost will ask my ghost,
Who put these bodies between us?
ya, that is an rock solid song it is even better when it is sung! and i was gonna see it sung live because ticket master.com said metric was an all ages show but when you call they say it isn't....and tickets went out a week earlier than i thought so i dont get tickets! Rot! cheerio, Liz out.

Lippizanners

incompetence, absolute outrage! Monstrous, i tell you! I AM NOT IMPRESSED! i paid 20 dollars to go see stallions dancing and i could have taped my self and seen it all....except for 3 things! urgh! ok they weren't that bad but still 20 good dollas! Yes...Liz out.

kats summer so far

ok this summer.. its bin ok, its definately had its moments, thats for sure. First thing after awards there was the camp out, and that was so amazingly awesome lol!, we went swimming.. and well long story short, annelies lsot her top, down the river.. lol. Me (kat), liz, chelsea winters, annelies and michelle were the ones on this outing. But chelseas gone!, she moved to grandprairie.. you have no idea how sad that made me.. i at least went to merchants for the last time with her for like four hours.. and melissa came in the middle of those hours. We sat there for like ever playing cards till chelsea had to leave and , that was a sad day. Otherwise this summer has bin a hell load of soccer and soccer tournaments, which have bun goin good, we have three medals so far .. thats about it for soccer. Also ive gne campign a few times.. and boating lol, wow cant wait for those pictuers to come out. I got my learners to!, i was so happy, fdirst try, that was on july 13 lol... yes i can remember. I had three wrong by question 13 and i needed to make it to 20 without getting four wrong so.. that was intense but i had a pretty easy test, i had nothing on demerits lol, lucky me. I realized i am a really lucky kid, i win so many draws and stuff lol, liek this one time at band camp lol.... we were having donuts lol... and my.baily was going through the list of us students and saying every third or fourth kid and letting them have a second donut lol and i was like ok im next.. and then he said my name lol.. anywyas back to summer lol. i have a camp to go to and then its pretty much back to school. this cmap is call hastings lake.. its a bible camp but its the funnest thing ever! wow lol.. it would take forever to tell you about it so i'll write about it when i get back, but for now.. ttyl KAT

Off book day!

So umm off-book day (for all you non drama folk that means the day you know your lines and quit reading your script) is on monday and it is saturday and i don't know my lines verywell...well i know act one and that is it so i need to get cracking! i have never really understood that saying "get cracking". Any ways i thought i would tell you my lines from my first entry to help me remember them:
Won't have what, Lucien?

THE POLICE!!!

They were all accidents, lucien accidents. Even the tax inspector, Don't let them take me!

Here but that's impossible, no one ever spends the night here. Not if they know us!

Oh...but Lucien we could put her in the bedroom with the four-poster. I've always wanted to see how it worked with a REAL body in it!

That's so typical of father, no consideration for any of us! How dare he force us to have this woman in our home! What right has he? What right has he, i say?

There is nothing of the vulture about me, emily tomb, nothing at all!

How dare you? Hoe dare you?!

There must be some mistake!

But i don't understand mr. penworthy what possible objection could there be to my mentioning our lovely gardens?

And why shouldn't they? those beds are beautifully laid out!

But he's never said i musn't mention the gardens to our guests before, never!

So do I.
.....
i didnt realize there were this many...there are like twenty more till i exit that scene. And lightning just struck my front lawn! yay, i love storms! Tootleoo, Liz out!

Bird Watching

I have taken up Bird Watching! Not like bird watching like "oh...i think that's a blue jay ...better mark my book!". No not that kind of bird watching.....i mean i find a bird and i watch it...watch it's every move and i immitate it with great detail. You see my character, Dora Lucrezia Tomb, in A Tomb With A View is very bird like. She moves like a bird and sounds like a bird also. So yes bird watching is my new hobby. cheerio, Liz out.
