Urgent Health Notice!!

Alright so today a grade 9 student at our school did something incredibly cool. This student posted many very well-written posters around the school that were titled "Urgent Health Notice". Well it was all about the craptastic hot lunch program at our school and it was so true. This is something I have thought of many times but never actually had the motivation to pin posters around the school. Our school is so "Ever-Active" and apparently healthy and yet every item available at the Hot Lunch Program has at least 4 pounds of grease, and about 1000 calories (well maybe that is a little exaggeration but you get it.) I am sure many people would be interested in purchasing healthy alternatives such as fruit salads, muffins and etc. Yah well I thought it was a pretty bold thing to do, the person that did this gained a lot of respect through out the school for doing this. He actually got the staff talking, like seriously considering a student's opinion! At our school this is an amazing feat. So good job to you, (the person responsible that is).cheerio (healthy one). Liz out.

our schools hot lunch program does suck. i am sorry but when all u can get it like pizza pops, burrito(which are soaking and grease) and chocolate bars and jerky. yea it is kinda disgusting when u think about how many calories u r taking in. i am not one to count calories but when u think about how many people get hot lunch on a daily basis it really gets u thinking. The 9er that had the guts to put those posters up sure gained respect from me. i have thought about the hot lunch program and good changes that could b made but never had the gutz to do something about it . The teachers just dont realize that not ALL teens want to eat grease soaked foods and fatty jerky and hot rods. Even if there was the option of healthy alternatives for the students that would like that would b awsome. we need some option when it comes to lunch. and the whole ever active thing. we just had a half day ever active day when ALL students were required to attend. if they r so strict on health and staying fit why doesn't the school contribute with a healthy lunch program

Yes. I think that 9er was extremely awesome for putting up those posters. I mean a little controversy is always a good thing. Plus. You should have seen the look on Hecks' face. Priceless.
