Roxy, Billabong, Groggy....MADNESS I TELL YOU!

Okay so i have decided that people will spend crazy amounts of money just to have Roxy written across their chest! Why? To express the fact that we live in a idiotic society filled with brain-washed, Paris Hilton worshippers? When you walk down the hallways of Charlie Killam you see at least half of the people wearing clothing with expensive labels on them. Do you really think it worth spending $300 dollars on an outfit that will last about 6 weeks before the trend dies down? Well I don't. Yes, I have been guilty of wearing these brands before i wont lie but i did not buy the clothes because of the words written on them! Well i might continue this blog later, if i get any comments that is. haha. Cheerio. Liz out.

Sex Ed. Video

Tomorrow we are recreating an old sex ed. video! It is going to be hilarious! It is all about girls developing and stuff and it is the worst script ever! WOOT! It is going to be a partay in deed. Some of my lines are so funny, wow. Well if you go to CKS it is quite possible you will see it because it is most likely going to replace the old video we usually watch in health. I really have to go learn my lines though, here are some:
( I am Lisa and Annelies is Karen)
Lisa- Wow this is a nice pool, i wish our community center was like this
Karen- Yeah, it is one of the really nice things about living here.
Lisa- Have you seen my bag anywhere?
Karen- Uhh here it is. (holding razor)What is this, you got a beard or something
Lisa- No I just Shave My legs.
...a few other lines..
Karen-A bra...Is this yours Lisa?
Lisa- yeah.
Karen- I'm still flat as a board!
Lisa- You are not as flat as the last time i saw you, i think you might be starting. And believe me things can change fast!...

Haha. Isn't that great? Oh boy it will be funny. Liz out.

Perspective

We all have problems, and at the time they seem huge, right? But if you think about it there are SO many huge problems happening in all the third world countries that are life threatening. So to everyone else in the world our chaotic problems look like nothing. Every day some poor family is faced with war, poverty and severe hunger and we are worried about the coffee stain we got on that new sweater! Through out history people have been facing problems that are so horrible. The tsunami affected millions of people over-seas, but still we worry about our new sweater. In fact, i feel very stupid for being so worried about Artstrek, there are way bigger issues out there. When you see your problems in perspective you realize how lucky you really are. Cheerio. Liz out.

Celebrities Should Be Shot

I hate celebrities! Actually most actors are not that bad but the latest singers are pathetic! They go on stage and lip-sink a bunch of useless lyrics about pain and all the hardships that they have never actually experienced. So many of the pop singers today have absolutely no talent! They can't sing and when they try they don't pronounce the words right. I mean sorry Ashley Simpson the word pieces does is not pronounced Paces...that is a different word! But even though they have no talent millions of mindless, brainwashed people run out and buy there c.d.s. Then they become incredibly rich and instead of donating there immense amounts of money to needy charities they keep it all to themselves. "What good is a mansion if you only have 6 cars?" and "Johnny Depp owns an island! I want one too and mine will be better!" Once they get money from there so called music they want more and more so they all become sell-outs! They dress themselves up and pose for magazines, they attempt to act in chick-flick films, they create crappy fashion lines, and worst of all they make reality t.v. shows about themselves. Does anyone really care about Britney and Kevin's chaotic lifestyle? I think not. And we all make fun of Jessica Simpson because she can't tell the difference between tuna and chicken, but really if we are living such sad lives that we spend time watching the life of some girl we have never met, who's the truly pathetic one? This blog was sort of confusing but you get it right? At least Vlatka will lol. Liz out.

Our World?

Are we real? Honestly, are we just as we seem...Simple people living on a simple planet that we hold all te power to? Or is there more? Maybe, we are just tiny fragments of a enormous big picture. Like maybe, we are just barbie dolls that the children in other worlds are playing with. Or perhaps we are part of a high tech computer game like Sims...And every move we make, every thought that goes through our mind is controlled by a greater power. Or we could be just small components to a large imagination. Or characters in a incredible book somewhere in another world. Or the solar system we live in is just another grade 3 kid's science project. Is it possible that your terrible problems are nothing but a childs idea of fun? Can you imagine the anxiety our world would be faced with if we saw a giant finger crushing our incredible universe as if it were a dying bug? On that thought I think I will leave you. cheerio. Liz, out.

Major Butterflies

Alrighty, I am getting so nervous about Artstrek! If you do not know what Artstrek is refer to my blogs titled Artstrek and * Les Miserables *. I sent my acceptance forms in on Friday and I really don't think I will make it. They said acceptance is based on letter of recommendation, enthusiasm and dedication. My letter of recommendation is going to be good I think, I haven't read it but Mr. Lindstrand wrote it and he is the best teacher ever! My letter thing I wrote on the reasons I want to go to Artstrek was really poorly written and it sounded very impersonal so they won't like that. I have not been in a lot of plays so that sucks too! O boy, this is not good, I really want to go to this camp. I'm sure there are at least 400 people applying and only about 250 can make it! AHH! And even if we (vlatka and me) do get in we probably wont be in the same dorm or in the same groups or she will have am awesome part and I will end up standing in the background dressed as a tree! Well, this blog didn't make a lot of sense..Sorry guys. Liz out.
P.S. 47 DAYS TILL ARTSTREK!!!

Best Author Ever, DAN BROWN

Ok so last month I read the DaVinci Code by Dan Brown. It was amazing, by far the best book I have ever read and I have read a lot of books!!It was so good and like appealing from every aspect. It takes place in Paris (happens to be my favorite city!) and it is an incredible adventure involving amazing facts about crytography, art, architecture, and all this amazing stuff. I have never learned so much from a book...Wow I sound geeky but it is true. So I finished that book and was absolutely addicted...I had to find Angels And Demons (Another book by Dan Brown). Well...One day I saw my friend Thomas reading it on the bus. He said it was so awesome and it was better than the DaVinci code. His book was a really nice illustrated version. He let me borrow it but told me about three hundred times to be incredibly careful with it and not lose it and he only gave me 1 week to read it! I was so mad because I was so busy that week and I only got 150 pages read! But what I did read was SO amazing...I loved it. Personally I liked the DaVinci Code better because it was more artistic compared to scientific. Anyways I was walking through Walmart yesterday when I saw it, The illustrated version of Angels And Demons!! It was only 30 dollars to (grr...I was so worried I was gonna lose Thomas' book and it was only $30 at Wolly world!). Well I am definitely going to go get that book because I am very excited to finish it. You should go buy it to lol that sounds cheesy but it truly is an amazing book and it gives you something to do on rainy-windy days like today. Liz, out.

"You shouldn't be friends with her..."

Ok, yesterday I had gym last class and when I was in the change room I got called down to the office with Vlatka. Well after I left one of the teachers at my school pulled my friend over to him and he was like "I don't think you should be friends with Liz, she is a bad influence." Chelsea (my friend) was like "Why?" And teacher man was like "you have got in trouble twice this week because of Liz." One of those times we went into 7-11 when we weren't suppose to, stupid thing to get in trouble for if you ask me, and the second thing was being late for class. Was it my fault she was late? I love Chelsea and if she had actually listened to him I would be SO sad! I think it is so horrible to tell someone who they should be friends with! Like honestly, she can make her own decisions. I thought it was quite rude! Cheerio, Liz out.

Urgent Health Notice!!

Alright so today a grade 9 student at our school did something incredibly cool. This student posted many very well-written posters around the school that were titled "Urgent Health Notice". Well it was all about the craptastic hot lunch program at our school and it was so true. This is something I have thought of many times but never actually had the motivation to pin posters around the school. Our school is so "Ever-Active" and apparently healthy and yet every item available at the Hot Lunch Program has at least 4 pounds of grease, and about 1000 calories (well maybe that is a little exaggeration but you get it.) I am sure many people would be interested in purchasing healthy alternatives such as fruit salads, muffins and etc. Yah well I thought it was a pretty bold thing to do, the person that did this gained a lot of respect through out the school for doing this. He actually got the staff talking, like seriously considering a student's opinion! At our school this is an amazing feat. So good job to you, (the person responsible that is).cheerio (healthy one). Liz out.

The Most Pathetic Species - Human

A couple days ago in science we were talking about the advances in technology. We started reading about the invention of the Robot when i realized that humans are the laziest things in the world. I mean, the soul function of a robot is to do a person's work for them! Do it your self! Everyone always says that man is the most intelligent species. I beg to differ! So many other species have lasted just as long on earth but not one of those species has caused as much damage to the planet as we have. We have completely ruined the chances of survival for people in the future! Take, for example, the invention of the car, probably the worst invention ever. I mean sure a car comes in handy for travelling far distances, but the fact is so many people use a car to go down the street to their friend's house! Hasn't anyone heard of a bicycle or perhaps walking? Of course not, that takes work and effort! There is SO much polution caused by cars in our environment. We have the technology to create cars that do not harm the environment (solar powered), so why don't we use them? i'll tell you why, because we are so power hungry that we would rather ruin the environment and have a car that travels 400 km/h, than drive a ecologically friendly slow car! That is pathetic! What are the people in the future, a few generations down, going to do to get around? They won't even have the option of public transportation such as buses because there won't be any oil left because we will have used it all on our inconciderate power struggle! Well I will leave you with your thoughts. Liz out.

* Les Miserables *

O WOW!! This summer is going to be beyond amazing, I hope you are all jealous! First of all I going on a 5-day trip through the valley with my best friends, and then I am going to an amazing, chance of a lifetime theatre camp possibly with (one of) my best friend!!! O boy, I am like hyper-ventilating from excitement and it has been like 9 hours since I finished filling out the acceptance form for Artstrek! The production the camp is putting on this year is the famous musical "Les Miserables" ! It will be amazing! I already have a character I want to be picked out but I am positive I won't get that part but it is still fun to dream! haha. Her name is Colette and she is only in 7 or so songs, which is a considerably small amount considering how many songs there are! But the thing is I CAN NOT sing! And two of her songs are solos and 2 are duets! It is painful to listen to me singing. So I won't get a good part at all but that is alright it will still be the funnest experience of my life! Especially now that Vlatka is joining me! lol. Any ways the camp is at Red Deer college and there are like 8 hours of acting/singing lessons daily! WOO HOO!! I need to get a letter of recommendation before I can go though. Well back to the play, from what I have read so far I have discovered it is an amazing, deep, meaningful story set in Paris. Not the glamorous Paris we know, but the poor dirty streets where the homeless live, the ones who are forced to steal loaves of bread simply to feed their family. I can't wait to learn more about it at the best place ever!!!! WOW! Sorry this blog is SO scattered and crazy, I am tired and excited at the same time and I am finding it rather hard to focus! Liz, out.

Action Action!!

So a couple weeks ago I was walking around the C.D. store in the mall and I was looking for Garbage's (Love them) C.D. when I saw a really cool C.D. cover. The album was called "Don't Cut Your Fabric To This Year's Fashion" by Action Action. It had a big sticker on the front that said for fans of The Killers, The Bravery and a couple other bands and I happen to LOVE both of those bands (even if they hate each other) so I had to listen to this band, I would have just bought the C.D. but I didn't have any money. So I went home and listened to some of their songs on the internet. WOW! They might just be my new favorite band! I am usually into either Indy-pop or heavy metal (weird I know) but they have a really different sound and their lyrics are really good. They blew me away! Yup my favorite bands at the moment are(no particular order): Action Action, Garbage, Metric, System of a Down, Social.Code and Sublime. My favorite songs by Action Action are (again in random order): Drug Like,Photograph, Basic Tiny Fragments, Bleed, instructions On Building A Model Airplain, Eighth-Grade Summer Romance, Don't Cut Your Fabric....Actually I love all their songs!! Yah, but I definitely suggest you all go out and buy this C.D..... or if your really nice you could buy it for me!! I don't have it yet and I totally want it! Cheerio. Liz out.

Movie Marathon Reviews

So last night me and Vlatka had our long anticipated Movie Marathon. We had originally wanted to watch Grease, My Fair Lady, Breakfast At Tiffany's, Garden State, Sabrina (with Audrey Hepburn, not the teenage witch!) the old Amityville Horror and Moulin Rouge! But unfortunately Movie Gallery didn't have Amityville Horror or Sabrina... So we decided to get two extremely cheesy movies to replace them. Well we sure found what we were looking for! We got From Justin To Kelly and Bring It On Again. Who ever the director of "From Justin To Kelly" should feel embarrassed, in fact any one involved with this movie, at all, should feel embarrassed. But I will admit it was worth the $2.00 to rent it just for the non-stop laughs and by the way it was a musical drama not a comedy. Bring it on Again wasn't as bad, actually it was just so peppy I wanted to strangle all of them. Grease? Well Grease is Grease, A classic. I absolutely love Breakfast At Tiffany's, Audrey Hepburn was so fit for the part it isn't even funny. Yeah, but I am not sure if any one else would like it, it's a chick-flick. Garden State was SUCH a disappointment, I was so excited to see this movie because I had heard it was awesome, but I disagree. It wasn't terrible and I am sure it would have been better if I had payed more attention to the movie rather than talking to Vlatka but nothing happened until like the last 10 minutes so it was quite hard to focus. Moulin Rouge is my all time favorite movie!! It is amazing!! I cried, but the tears weren't completely sad ones, but mostly but a little bit happy too..And I have seen it like 5 times before...I have only managed to hold back the tears one of those times! You should all go rent that movie right now, but you might think it is weird but I think it is amazing. Over all our Movie Marathon was awesome, well worth the lost sleep. (We didn't go to sleep until like 6:30 am). Cheerio. Liz out.

EEK!!

The other day my sister (Steff the meany head, but that is for another blog) was on a walk down in my valley. So she was walking and my insane little dogs were just innocently running around, when she heard twigs and branches snapping in the forest in front of her. The dogs immediately started barking and ran into the thick, mysterious woods. The older, wiser and fatter of the two dogs came back quickly, obviously scared. The second smaller and stupider remained in the trees barking at something. Now Steph was beginning to panic, she frantically called the dog's name (Zazoo) and walked forward toward the forest. She could still hear twigs breaking as if someone was traveling through the trees towards my idiotic dog, the trees tops were swaying quite noticeably as it moved closer so steph was sure the "thing" was larger than a coyote. Finally Zazoo came when steph called and she bolted home. She told mom about it and then they drove back to the scene...But nothing was there. Based on my sister's explanation my mom figured it was a bear. Yeah, that is right a bear right where me and Chelsey Prestage, Chelsea Winters, Annelies, Vlatka, Kelcey and Kathryn are staying this summer! But if it gets sighted again than we are not going. I'm hoping it was just a person...On our land?...And Steph was just being over exaggerative. Yeah I went down into the valley on my horse today to investigate but I didn't see anything, but I was all alone and I didn't look to hard because I was kind of scared! cheerio, Liz out.

Awesome Website Award!!

Ok everyone should visit http://www.vlatka.blogspot.com it is awesome! All her blogs are amazing, that girl makes me think so much! Yah so everyone go visit it, now! Well, i guess you don't have to, but that is what i am doing. Liz, out.

SUMMER PLAY, WOO HOO!!

WOW!!! Excitement overload!! So apparently Miss Lindstrand's friend or what ever is opening a "theatre company" kind of thing and I am so excited! It will most likely be open this summer and I am definitely auditioning! I have been looking for a play to go in this summer for a long time now and now there is one just popping up in my face! My oh My. I hope I actually make it, that would totally Suck if I didn't. Cheerio. Liz, out.

Spectacular, Spectacular!

As you all know, that is if you read my previous blog entitled Happily Never After, that is attended a play that my best friend kelcey was in. Wow it was SO funny hehe I loved it! The acting was really good too!
The Marriage Counselor (Kelcey) was responsible for writing all the fairytales and for pairing the couples off, and of course for promising (prematurely) Happily Ever After. Well...It's a few months after and they are not happy at all. hehe. So it is this big jumble of confusion and editing and placing couples together and then splitting them up. Well I thought it was hilarious. A lot of it was like improvised though haha Rosalina (she was awesome!!) who played Cinderella went to sit down and fell off her chair!! It was so funny but she was really good at making it look like part of the show, the rest of the cast laughed though so that gave it away that it was a mistake. lol. This guy named Addison (he played Prince ling, sleeping beauty's husband) was the best actor (other than kelso) he was really natural on stage and he was really hot! Kelcey was awesome too she had so many lines and she did so well. She made the character. Yah I thought it was a good play indeed. Cheerio, Liz out.

Ouch!! I am in pain!

OUCHIE! Today I went and got my belly-button pierced and it hurt so bad! The lady was like "No worries you wont even feel it". Liar!!! It has been like 45 minutes and it still hurts! Maybe I am just a wimp though. I don't know but at least I finally got my birthday present from my mom, I have been waiting for this for like 2 months! (Since March 8th) Well I have to go clean it now because it is all sick looking and bloody! Liz, out.

I'm Really Into My Vest

Okay so I was at this 4-H thing today, SHUT UP I know I am a geek and I am in 4-H but I don't care this is funny. Alright this Saturday all the 4-H clubs in Alberta will be cleaning up garbage on the side of the highway, it is going to be a HOOT in deed. Today we had to get the same information about Highway cleanup that we get every year including a pamphlet filled with songs promoting it. Wow do I feel sorry for the kids that wrote these, Enjoy!

This one is a Rap that I like to call -
I'm Really Into My Vest
Got my vest and I'm wearing it proud,
The fluorescent orange is wickedly loud
Won't go on the road, cause I gotta use my head.
I'll stay in the ditch like the manager said.
Put on that vest, be seen, be seen.
Put on that vest and keep Alberta clean.

Hears another-
Do Not disturb
Poor old skunk, and his bad, bad luck
Got thrown in the ditch cause he didn't see the truck.
I won't pick him up or that pesticide can,
I'll just leave a bag there for the contractor man!

And one more-
Full Bag Blues
I got my bag, its full to the brim
So what do I do? oohhh What do I do?
Leave it by the pavement, not too close to the edge-
If someone were to hit it we'd have to do this job again
I got the Blues.....Those full bag blues
I got the blues..Yeah..Those full bag blues

Woo Hoo...I had my self a good time singing those, haha. Those poor kids that wrote them, their parents must be so proud! The really funny thing is that the pamphlet is actually full of songs like that there are 14 of them! Well I thought it was quite amusing. Oh and I by the way I would really appreciate it if people left comments on my posts. thanx. Liz, out.

Booster juice

Booster juice is re-opening this week and guess who is applying there. ME AND VLATKA!! So if you were pondering the thought of applying there BACK OFF! GOT IT?? Good. Yah it is going to be sweet. What a good way to make money, chilling out with your best friend. I am just scared of the days where whole soccer teams come in...AHH! I can just picture the coach's angry face as he watches me drop 6 full booster juices in a row after mixing up two boosters and giving a team member a massive alergic reaction to the bees wax (there actually is beeswax in one). But I have to leave now, remember Don't even think about applying at booster juice! Liz out.

Extreme Expedition

This summer me and 6 of my friends are going to go on a 5-day camping trip through my valley. We are going to start our adventure in the valley right by my house and then we are going to travel through to Chelsey's house (by the same valley)! WOOT! It is going to be like the highlight of my summer! yes, yes it will! O my we are going to go 5 days with no showers and we are going to smell SO bad, and the really funny part is that some of the girls are really prissy so it will be so funny watching them! Whammy, i am excited! Right now we are just in the early preperation stage, plotting our camp sites and stuff, but it is going to be sweet, I can tell already. Honestly though, can u think of a more typical horror movie setting? 7 teenage girls just having some fun, the stupid one (me) starts telling a scary story about the place we are at, the scaredycat (kathryn hehe just kidding) starts telling her to stop... A little bit later i have to pee kathryn comes with me (shut up she won't be looking!, I just need help finding the 'Washroom') , i freak her out with more stories, she leaves and then BAM! I'm dead! This leads to much suspicion and anxiousness between the girls they furiously try to find their way home but without their leader ME) they get hopelessly lost and KILLED! DA NA NA!!! It will be awesome, can't wait. don't worry i will be writing journal entries every day and filling you in when i return home. cheerio. Liz, out.

Hate this world!

I hate our world! Today we were talking about current events in L.A. and we got on to the topic of success and we got into this heated discussion about what success really is and of course it led to me yelling and disagreeing with Mr. Gallenza. Honestly when did people become so stupid that they are driven by only money and media, they have no intention in making this world a better place or solving major problems for the future, no all people these days are interested in is making more money than their best friend! Before a person even talks to a group of people they have unwillingly been judged, given a status acording to what they are wearing! I HATE IT! All the stupid rich people control our lives when they have absolutely no clue! Man is suposedly the smartest animal on earth but i strongly disagree! I mean sure we have developed technologies and found so many ways to make our lives easier make us do less and less work but look how much damge we have done! Every other animal in the world has lasted all this time and they havn't damaged the earth half as much as us! ARGH!! cheerio. Liz out.

David Blaine, Crazy Insane!

My new hero, David Blaine! He is so friggin amazing! I was watching "David Blaine, Vertigo" on tlc (love that channel) and he is crazy insane! Like holy man, he reached straight through a glass window, and these were not special effects! And there was this empty, crushed beer can and he tapped the side and Presto! It was full and hadn't even been opened. He opened it and drank some and the and dumped the rest out! O yah and he stood on top of a ten story high pillar for 35 hours! He just thought about making a ripple in a wine glass and it smashed! And I watched him eat an entire snake, swallow and all ( I almost cried, I love snakes) and then he told this random boy to look in his back pack and the snake was in there alive and all. Nuts I tell you! He did tons of other stuff to it was awesome to the maximum (hehe that sounded geeky). No doubt about it he is super cool! Cheerio. Liz,out.

Ice Cappachino...Heroin or cocaine?

Yesterday I went to Tim Horon's (ICK, I know merchants is SO much better but you know) and I got an ice cap. Alright so I was about 3/4 done, and I went Psycho!! Like beyond my usual craziness!...I truly think Ice Cappachinos contain drugs...Like more than caffeine I mean. I had so much unexplained energy. I was singing really loud and I was circling my sister's friend and chanting "ING, RAW"...Like what the hell? And I tried to put a cell on my dog to make her call my mom's cell phone! Weirdo! But yes there are most definitely drugs in Ice Caps. I mean the caffeine is addicting and it gives you energy but not this much!! So the real question is which drug? Cocaine, Heron, crystal meth? Whammy. Liz, out.

A lot Like Love

Today I went to see the chic-flick movie, A lot Like Love, with Vlatka. It wasn't a horrible movie, like the story was good but it could have been better. Ashton Kutcher was not a good actor for that character. He wasn't funny, stupid or anything like Ashton's usual cup of tea he was just... Oliver. The character would have been a lot better played by a more boring actor like, Shane West. Ashton has too much personality for such a lame, pathetic part. By the way the character sold diapers or a living!...I didn't really like the movie's plot that much either because it was always like, 2 years later,3 years later, it was annoying and it didn't have much point. Yah, so over all the movie wasn't worth the money too go see it, I am just glad it was a matinee so it was cheaper. I did find some c.d.s on my list to buy soon though. Alexis on Fire, Garbage, Insane Clown Posy, and Blondie. WOW! Those are some good tunes! haha. So if you haven't noticed I like a very wide variety of music! Liz, out.

Happily Never After

Holy Popcorn! I am so excited for Thursday. One of my best friends, Kelcey King, is the main character in a play called Happily Never After and I am going to see it on Thursday. It is going to be awesome. It is like this really weird plot...To be honest I never understand it when she explains it to me, I just smile and nod. All I know is that she is a marriage counselor and that she is in every scene. And kelcey is a mondo good actress, I can tell by the way she walks, just kidding, but I am sure she is. I mean she got the lead part, right? WOOT! I am going to be in the front row. I just hope I don't make her laugh on stage or anything. Liz,out.

Ewan McGregor

A few weeks ago I was flipping through channels and I turned to the movie Moulin Rouge (on much music). I had only been watching for like a minute and I was in love! It was a sappy musical, just my type hehe, and the acting was awesome. I usually hate Nicole Kidman but she was really awesome in this movie. Ewan McGregor became my favorite actor after like one scene. His acting was so awesome, a little over the top but hey, its Moulin Rouge, and his voice is SO good! I love it. The songs in this movie are so random they are hilarious. So I finished watching this movie and then I went straight to town, rented it and watched two more times. So from then on Ewan McGregor has been my favorite actor. Until today. Today I watched the movie Big Fish. I had seen this movie before but I had never payed attention to the acting. I was rather disappointed in my little Ewan. I mean it wasn't horribly acted but it was no Ewan, that is for sure! Soon I am going to see the Star Wars movies, I hope he acted better in those than Big Fish or he is no longer my favorite actor. Liz, out.
